Lisa Wallace | Owner, Principal Designer

From a young age Lisa enjoyed looking at decorating books and magazines, creating floor plans on graph paper and decorating her doll house. Lisa comes from a long line of artists- her mother, sister, and grandmother.  However, she never considered design as an actual career path until after her junior year at college, where she ultimately graduated with a BFA in Interior Design from the University of Houston. The creative process of design is a continual thrill for Lisa.

Upon graduation, she worked in commercial and residential design at House Reh Associates and Lois Simon Design. After moving to San Angelo, TX, from Houston, TX, she paused working to raise her three children. In 2012 Lisa opened her own firm, LWID.

Since, she has enjoyed the friendships established with her clients while helping them achieve their dreams for their homes. As a degreed and professionally affiliated designer, she aims to transform a space into a personal, beautiful, unique and well functioning home that reflects the lifestyle, taste and individuality of its owner.

Any home can be pretty, but one that functions beautifully and specifically for its residents is truly special and life-giving.  Lisa focuses on the smallest of details concerning how a family lives from morning to bedtime, as well as how a family or couples' or individual’s needs change through the years.

Rebecca Dean | Junior Designer

Rebecca Dean joined Lisa Wallace Interior Design in 2020. She graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management with an emphasis on Special Events and a minor in Business Administration. Rebecca found her way to LWID in the middle of the pandemic and we have been so fortunate to have her.

Growing up her family made frequent visits to her beloved grandmother’s home in Highland Park where she was surrounded by antique furniture, hand picked oriental rugs, colorful wallpaper, and unique art. She distinctly remembers the pair of colorfully painted Foo Dogs, standing 3 feet tall, flanking the formal living room’s fireplace. These protectors of the home have been a style inspiration, showing her that a touch of the unexpected goes a long way.

Rebecca has always had a passion for fashion and design and has thoroughly enjoyed working for and learning from Lisa. She has loved diving into the world of design and her favorite areas to spend time in are sourcing lighting and textiles. She loves the experience of learning and embracing each client’s personal style and being a part of the creation of a beautiful and unique home. She is a very talented asset to us.
